Dr. Paul C. Lewis is a native of Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan, and received his medical degree from Michigan State University. He completed his residency at Garden City Hospital in general orthopedics. Following residency, Dr. Lewis completed an additional year of fellowship training, specializing in sports medicine at the Florida Orthopedic Institute, in Tampa Florida.
Board Certified in 2001, Dr. Lewis is an Associate clinical professor at Michigan State University, and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the Michigan State Medical Society.
Dr. Lewis treats patients with a wide variety of orthopedic complaints, and specializes in the arthroscopic management of the shoulder, elbow and knee. In addition, he performs joint replacement surgery of the knee and shoulder. As a former team physician for the Detroit Rockers National Indoor Soccer League, and current team physician for The High School State Football Champions, Lake Orion Dragons. Dr Lewis treats many sports related injuries. Additionally, occupational injuries, over use injuries, and so-called “weekend warrior” injuries, are commonly seen and treated in his practice.
